Amad al-Aqsa is a work of the Jurist of the Hanafi school, al-Qadi Abu Zayd al-Dabusi (d. 430/1039). Most of Dubusi's works related to law, but this is regarded as a work of asceticism. Although it had circulation in Hanafi circles, its ideas are Sufi in nature.
